Artgenève is a new art exhibition whose aim is to establish an artistic platform in the Suisse Romande - at the very forefront of contemporary art, modern art and design - which pays homage to the requirements of the Lake Geneva region's many collectors and art-lovers. Artgenève welcomes internationally renowed galleries and also devotes a large area to public and private collections, as well as independent spaces and curators, acknowledging the dynamism created through dialogue between institutions and dealers. The third edition will be held from 30th January to 2nd February 2014, a key period for luxury tourism in Geneva and strategic dates in the art fair calendar. Taking place in a refined atmosphere and on human scale, Artgenève is a true reflection of Geneva itself, a pleasant city of international renown. The exhibition's architecture and layout draw upon this diversity as their inspiration. The compact nature of Artgenève makes it easy to visit, and helps promote the exchange of ideas between exhibitors and art-lovers.

From January 30 to February 2, Geneva will host the third edition of Artgenève - Salon d'Art, the young Swiss Contemporary Art Fair, which this year will expand the number of participating galleries to 61, compared to 40 in 2013. Only 20 galleries from Switzerland, together with exhibitors from all over Europe, including the Italian Massimo De Carlo, mantaining a good degree of balance between established and younger galleries. Inside the exhibition program, Artgenève will showcase the collections of several institutions and projects specially prepared for the event, including the works from the Centre of Contemporary Art, the Centre d'Edition Contemporaine, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMCO) and Design School HEAD, all of Geneva. From Lausanne, the Circuit, the Center for Contemporary Art, the Kunsthalle Basel and independent spaces Piktogram Warsaw and Hotel Palenque in London. The exhibition program will be enriched by exhibitions from a curator in collaboration with non-profit spaces, as well as works from private collections. Finally, the exhibition dedicated to contemporary Russian art My Joy, proposed by Katia Krupennikova and Conversation Piece, an exhibition "bar" which includes the works of the participating galleries, staged by Tirdad Zolghadr, a critic of the art magazine Frieze, and by the Swiss artist Peter Stoffel. From Rome, Primamusa allows visitors to enrich their experience through multimedia content and the use of augmented reality, thanks to an application that allows you to capture a logo or an image by increasing the content of the show. The company will host an interactive stand, which will be presented in the works of the Italian Silvia Iorio and a work of Bill Claps from New York.
